On February 1, 2019 at approximately 4:00pm Deputies from the Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office responded to an attempted abduction of an adult female in the area of Blackbridge Rd and Hudson Rd in Hillsdale County’s Jefferson Township.
A 24 year old female was walking home from Davis’s Economy Station and Dollar General (both businesses are located in the area of the M-99 & M-34 intersection in Jefferson Township), when a truck stopped and a white male subject got out, grabbed her and attempted to pull her into his vehicle. She states that the male struck her in face telling her “it will be easy and to get into the truck”. The victim was able to fight off her attacker and escape to her residence. The truck was last seen headed south on Pioneer Rd (M-99) towards Ohio.
The suspect was described as a white male approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 300-400 pounds, balding with extremely short hair on the sides of his head. The victim also indicated that the suspect had a large nose, several missing teeth and the teeth he did have were broken, discolored and in poor condition.
The vehicle is described as an early 1990’s Dodge Ram Regular Cab Pickup, short box, dark blue in color (the photos we have received show the truck being red but we have been advised the by the business owner the cameras color is off). The truck is extremely rusted and has a confederate flag sticker covering the entire rear window. The truck has out of state license plates and was last seen southbound on Pioneer Rd (M-99) towards Ohio.
