The Hillsdale County Board of Canvassers will meet again today (Friday), to continue their work of certifying ballots from Tuesday’s general election. The board began the task yesterday (Thursday) and worked throughout the day. They will try to finish the certification process before the end of the day today (Friday). Along with certifying over 23,000 votes, they must also record all of the write in ballots. There were a number of write in candidates, including incumbent district five commissioner Namrata Carolan, as well as several write in candidates for various offices in Waldron and other municipalities. Over 62% of registered Hillsdale County voters turned out at the polls on Tuesday.
