Hillsdale County recorded the second highest spike in COVID-19 numbers reported by the Branch-Hillsdale-St.Joseph Community Health Agency on Monday evening. Of the three counties served by the Health Department, Hillsdale County came in behind St. Joseph County by just 11 cases. Hillsdale County sports 103 new COVID-19 cases this week, bringing the total since the pandemic began to 721 – a number still well behind Branch and St. Joseph Counties. Hillsdale County does have the most number of COVID related deaths with 29. Branch County reported 94 new cases, while St. Joseph saw an increase of 114. In total, Branch County has seen 1,116 total cases and 14 deaths compared to St. Joseph County’s 1,545 total cases and 24 deaths.
