More details have been released in a Tuesday morning crash in Adams Township that sent a Hillsdale man to the hospital. Authorities were dispatched to Milnes Road near Addison Road for a two-vehicle crash just before 8:30am. There, they found an overturned vehicle driven by 48 year old Jeffrey Kornak along with a minor and a  21 year old passenger, Trevor Kornak both of Hillsdale. Also on the scene was a vehicle driven by 74 year old Richard Hale of Jonesville. Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department Accident investigators say both vehicles were traveling north bound on Milnes Road when Hale began to turn into a field on the west side of the road. As Hale began the turn, Kornak attempted to pass and struck Hale; Kornak then ran off the roadway and grazed a utility pole before rolling over onto his roof. Jeffrey Kornak was transported to Henry Ford Allegiance Health in Jackson for injuries sustained in the crash. Kornak’s passengers were cleared at the scene. Hale did not sustain any injury in the crash. The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Reading Emergency Unit, Moscow Fire Department, Somerset EMS, Hillsdale Rural Fire Department and the North Adams Fire Department. The accident remains under investigation.
