Much like the rest of the world, Hillsdale County and the surrounding areas continue to see a spike in COVID-19 cases as the weather turns cooler. According to the latest numbers from the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency, another 32 positive cases were reported on Wednesday. In addition to the new cases, the Health Agency has added another COVID related death to the Hillsdale County toll, now up to 30 since the pandemic began. St. Joseph County recorded an additional 94 cases Wednesday, while Branch County racked up another 60 positive coronavirus cases. The state of Michigan has seen a total of nearly 230,000 coronavirus cases since March.
