Michigan’s 7th District Congressman has announced he has tested positive for coronavirus. According to a press release from the office of U.S. Representative, Tim Walberg, he says his symptoms are mild. Walberg disclosed the positive case following Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s latest press conference in which she referenced a member of the Michigan Legislator had been confirmed positive for COVID-19. Walberg said in a statement, “It has been more than a week since I have attended a public event. My office and I are in the process of reaching out to individuals I had contact with before my self-isolation began.” Walberg is the second House member from Michigan to disclose testing positive for COVID-19. Representative Bill Huizenga of the 2nd District had it in October.
