Progress is being made on several projects in the city of Jonesville. City Manager Jeff Grey tells WCSR News, crews with the Michigan Department of Transportation are all but finished with the Traffic Light replacement project that has been ongoing in the city. Grey says Jonesville was randomly selected to have the traffic lights updated, which also included updating the concrete curbing at the roadways, crosswalk signals, and the overhead traffic signals. Grey says the old signals were installed 20 years ago. Grey says aside from some grass seed and cleanup in the spring, the project is done.

Grey also says that Briner Oil Company has been granted the necessary paperwork to begin rebuilding their office on Beck street following a fire in September that completely gutted the inside. They’re expected to begin the rebuilding process soon.

A reminder, Jonesville City offices are closed due to the increase in COVID-19 cases. Residents can process payments via their enhanced online payment options at Jonesville.org.
