Hillsdale County has now surpassed the 1,000 case mark for confirmed contractions of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19. In the updated statistics released from the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency, they say an additional 37 cases were reported over the weekend. This now brings Hillsdale County’s pandemic total to 1,001. No additional deaths were reported in the latest update. Branch County reported a spike of 160 confirmed cases – the largest spike in cases for any of the three counties over the last month, and one of the largest spikes since the pandemic began. Branch County now has a total of nearly 1,500 confirmed cases. St. Joseph County reported 94 new cases with a total of 1,846 cases since March.
