If you’re thinking of burning off those remaining leaves and brush over the next couple of days, the National Weather Service in northern Indiana says you may want to wait. Forecasters say an elevated fire danger will develop on Thursday, presenting an increased risk for grass, field, brush, and ditch fires as well as campfires to spread out of control. Relative humidity values will range from 30 to 40 percent, at a minimum, and winds are expected to be in the 20 to 30 mph range from the south. Plus, temperatures are expected to be up near 60 degrees. Rain is scheduled for later in the weekend, beginning on Saturday.
