Hillsdale College was ranked in the top 50 colleges in the country in a recent survey by U.S. News & World Report. Hillsdale tied with Union College in Schenectady, New York and Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington to be the 48th ranked liberal arts college in the U.S. Hillsdale is the top ranked liberal arts school in Michigan–outranking Hope College, which came in at #102 and Albion College which ranked #136. Hillsdale College was also recently named one of the best colleges in the country by education services company The Princeton Review.
