The ballot is set for a recall election in Adams Township next year.
Supervisor Mark Nichols and Clerk Stephanie Scott are the targets of the recall, which will take place May 2nd.
Petition language for both officials was approved by the Hillsdale County Election Commission earlier this year.
The recall stems from Nichols’ vote against buying a new vote tabulator at a cost of $5,500.
Scott is facing recall after she was sanctioned by the state for refusing to allow for maintenance work on township voting equipment.
Nichols and Scott will appear on the ballot as Republicans.
Suzy Roberts will challenge Scott for the Clerk’s position.
Township Trustee Randy Johnson will challenge Nichols for the Supervisor’s seat–
Johnson and Roberts are both running with No Party Affiliation.
