An Osseo man was seriously injured in a Thursday evening traffic crash in Jefferson Township. 

Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Hudson Road near South Bird Lake Road around 5:45 PM. 

They say 60 year-old Charles Vallance of Osseo, was crossing Hudson Road on a bicycle, when he pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by 60 year-old Adam Pelfrey, of Pittsford. 

The impact knocked Vallance off the bicycle and sent him over the vehicle’s windshield. He landed on the roadway. 

Vallance was flown from the scene to an out-of-state hospital.

There’s no word on his condition.

Pelfrey and a passenger in his vehicle, 51 year-old Kristy Winchell were uninjured 

Hudson road was closed for some time as the scene was cleaned up and investigated. 

The Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Jefferson Township Fire Department, Hudson Ambulance, and Promedica–

The crash remains under investigation.
