Sheriff’s Office Investigating Vehicle Break-Ins

Local Jobless Rates Rise In May

After dropping to near-historic lows over the past several months, Hillsdale County’s unemployment was up by more than a full percentage point in May.  According to latest numbers from the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget, Hillsdale County posted a 4.4-percent jobless rate last month.
