Firefighters from three departments battled a fire that destroyed two sheds and some vehicles Sunday afternoon.

The North Adams Fire Department was dispatched to property in the 1000 block of South Bird Lake Road, just after 2:00 PM.

They called for assistance from the Moscow and Hillsdale Township Fire Departments.

Hillsdale City brought the air tank trailer.

North Adams Chief Dallas Russell told WCSR News, the call came in as a shed fire. Crews arrived to find two sheds engulfed in flames.

The fire also destroyed several broken down vehicles outside the sheds–an area of grass was burned as well.

Russell said the homeowner was away when the fire broke out.

No injuries were reported.

There’s no word on a cause of the blaze, which remains under investigation.

More than 20 firefighters were on the scene for more than two hours, clearing around 4:30 pm. Crews poured 13,000 gallons of water on the flames.

The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the scene,
