The City of Hillsdale has announced that crews will begin a street improvement project in the city today.
Pavement Solutions, of Richmond Illinois, will install a chip seal with fog coat on Marion Street, from Superior to North Wolcott, and LoPresto Avenue, from Griswold to the West Dead End. The chip seal installation is scheduled for today, and the fog coat will be applied tomorrow–weather permitting,
During the chip seal installation, traffic will be reduced to one lane, but both lanes will reopen once the stone is compacted. The areas where the fog coat is applied will be closed to traffic for about an hour. If there are any weather delays, the work will resume the next business day.
