The potential for a bridge failure has led to the closing of a rural road in Pittsford township.
Elm Road between Union and Egypt Roads will close as of Monday morning. Road commission officials said the bridge over the Mallory Lake Drain can’t withstand the minimum weight limits to keep it in operation.
That stretch of Elm Road will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday and until further notice.
