Litchfield’s annual Sweet Corn Days Festival kicks off Thursday evening with a 5K run/walk. Registration will start at 6:00 PM at Fireman’s Park, and the race begins at 7:00 PM.
On Friday, the festivities will begin at 8:00 AM with a fishing contest and the Rotary Chicken Barbecue.
Saturday’s schedule starts bright and early at 7:00 AM with a pancake and biscuits & gravy breakfast at the fire station. The Sweet Corn Days Parade lineup will begin at 9:30 AM at the high school, and the parade will roll at 10:00 AM.
There’s live music all day featuring Berkley Stewart and Delbert Walling from 11:00 am to noon–Singer, Humorist and Storyteller Patt Taylor performs from noon to one pm—Pomegranate Whiskey takes the stage at 2:00.
In addition to the music, there will be a classic car show, kids games, a kids fishing derby, and a food court with sweet corn and the Rotary Chicken Barbecue. There’s a fireworks display at Litchfield Schools on Saturday night.
