The Hillsdale City Police Department is gearing up for what they hope will be another successful year of their Bow Hunting Program
The hunt is aimed at addressing concerns regarding the deer herd in the city.
To participate, interested hunters must apply for private property hunting permits. Applicants are required to provide the location where they plan to hunt and obtain written permission from the property owner.
Property owners who are interested in having their land considered are encouraged to contact the City of Hillsdale Police Administration office. The program will match hunters with suitable properties after conducting necessary checks. A non-refundable $10.00 application fee, covering background checks, must be submitted along with the completed permit application. Applications can be obtained from and returned to the Hillsdale City Police Administration office by September 18.
A meeting regarding the upcoming hunt will be held on September 25,, at 7:00 pm in the 2nd floor Conference Room Private property permits will cost $20.00.
