McKibbin Media Group (MMG) is pleased to announce that all musical performers for the 3rd annual K105.3
Fall Fest & Chili Classic, held in downtown Jackson, Mich. on Saturday, September 30, will be locally sourced
from the mid-Michigan area.
On the K105.3 Stage sponsored by Harvest Solar and Pro DJs, at the corner of Michigan Ave. and
Mechanic St., will be Big L & Code Blu, the Jacktown Hustlers, and Kung Fu Diesel. On the Power Cow Stage
at Bucky Harris Park sponsored by Monster Motors, Kari Holmes, Kay Harper & Cezaar Wade, and Sadie
Bass from NBC’s The Voice will be performing acoustic sets.
“We secured some great music acts in the past, but felt that localizing the music more would put a different
spin on the event. Supporting local artists and their music is something we take great pride in doing,” MMG
President and Owner Katina McKibbin said. “We’ve been able to feature many of the artists performing at the
Fall Fest on our local radio airwaves and will continue to do so in the future. It’s important we support local
talent from our state.”
The Fall Fest and Chili Classic opens to the public at Noon on Sept. 30 with vendors in the streets and a
free kids’ kingdom. The kids’ kingdom will feature a variety of family-friendly activities at Horace Blackman Park
courtesy of the Jackson Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and Rivertree Church.
The Chili Classic will be held on Michigan Ave. between S. Jackson and Mechanic St. A Chili tasting
wristband is $5.00 to purchase beginning at noon, and tasting opens up at 2:00 p.m. MMG recommends
arriving sooner than later as the chili is extremely popular and runs out quickly. Dozens of local businesses are
participating by preparing at least 10 gallons of chili from scratch on site, and even a few preparing salsa as
well, which is almost as fun to watch as it is to taste and vote.
A full schedule of events, including the ORS Oktoberfest 5K/10K Superhero Run/Walk and the lineup of
musicians, can be found at http://www.K1053.com/fallfest. MMG would like to thank presenting sponsors Tripp’s

Collision, Monster Motors, County National Bank, Bud Light, and Industrial Steel Treating for their part in
making this event possible for the Jackson community. The event has over 20 sponsors total, all which are
invaluable to the success of the event, including the presenting sponsors.
