For the second year in a row, a team with a familiar name set a new world heavyweight horse pulling record at the Hillsdale County Fair.
The two-horse team of “Geane” and “Jay” pulled 5,075 pounds at Tuesday’s event!
The horses are owned by Terry Yoder of Cromwell, Kentucky, and Chris Hatfield of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida.
Hatfield and Yoder are familiar names in horse pulling as they have held a number of national championships and set several world records. Some of those records were set at the Hillsdale County Fair over the years.
In fact, this year’s pull broke a record that was set exactly one year ago at the Hillsdale County Fair, when Yoder & Hatfield’s team of “Rowdy” and “Pistol” pulled 5,050 pounds!
