Local and State Deer Harvest Numbers Released

Hunters in Hillsdale County bagged a total of 5,635 deer during the combined hunting seasons from September to January.  3,042 bucks were taken, along with 2,593 antlerless deer. Bellino Bill Would Mandate Gambling Education

16th District State Senator Joseph Bellino has introduced a bill aimed at educating teenagers about the risks of gambling. Mosby Sentenced In Mosherville Break-In

A Waldron man has been sentenced to two-to-ten years in prison for a string of break-ins at a Mosherville business last fall.  36-year-old Derrick Mosby appeared in Hillsdale County Circuit Court, Monday, where he was sentenced on burglary charges.  He pled guilty back in December.  Mosby was arrested in the investigation into break-ins at C-J’s party store, on Concord Road […]
